Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving turned out to be a fun bonding holiday for us this year. It was our first Thanksgiving that we just stayed home and made our own dinner. To be honest we were feeling a little lonely because our family was so far away and we weren't going over to anyone's house, but I think it was just what this little family needed.  The best part is...the turkey turned out PERFECT! I am pretty excited about that because it was our first experience cooking a turkey on our own. I spent the day cooking and Chris spent the day holding our baby boy who was feeling a little under the weather. I think he had an ear infection on top of a fever on top of a few teeth coming in...let's just say that all he wanted to do was to be held. Poor baby fell asleep on his daddy's chest and didn't want to do anything else. After giving him all of my home remedies he is now feeling better, although those teeth are taking their sweet time coming in. Anyways, it ended up being a success thanks to my mom who took the time to teach me how to cook. One day I hope that I can cook as well as she does. Overall we found that we had quite a bit to be thankful for. I for one and so grateful for the opportunity to start our own Thanksgiving traditions and for the fun bonding time we enjoyed. The best part...Chris did the dishes :)

Our little artist who now has his own cell phone (Chris' old one). He kept trying to pull the hat off but it wasn't working. Kind of fun to watch.
