...and whiskers on kittens...these are a few of my favorite things. I have been thinking lately about my favorite things in this world. My number one favorite 'thing' in this whole wide world would definitely be my toothbrush. My favorite stocking gift from Santa and the Easter bunny was (and still is) a new toothbrush. Crazy, I know. Number 2 favorite thing is the phone. I can't imagine having to rely solely on letters in the mail to keep in touch. I have a new appreciation for the missionaries who do just that. I love being able to pick up my phone and be able to talk to anyone within seconds. Number 3 favorite thing is sweatpants. Nothing even comes close to being as comfortable, and they fit expandable waists that are still working on de-expanding :) Those are my top 'things' for today. But what trumps them all (and I really love my toothbrush) is something that can't be made by men. It's the love and joy that fills my heart when my little boy smiles at me while the man I love most is holding him. It's the birds that sing sweet melodies outside our window at three o'clock in the morning (because of course I'm awake) to remind me that Heavenly Father loves me. And today it's the smell of rain that just can't be duplicated. What are your favorite things today? Besides of course these pictures of an adorable child :)

He looked so comfortable we had to get a picture.
Check out the smile on those little lips! I think I squealed with delight when I realized I'd caught him in the moment of smiling. I am pretty sure that this smile is for his Uncle Justin who called to say hi that day. He wanted to say thanks :)
Had to get a picture of this. I am pretty sure he has baby narcolepsy because he'll be squirming one minute and in a deep sleep the next. He just happened to have an arm to rest against in this picture.
One of James' loving aunts sent him this little sleep sack and hat she made him so we had to get a picture. He was so cute in it. And yes mom, I am going to leave that lipstick on the mirror probably until we move. It keeps me going.
Got to say that I love this little invention. James seems to like it too.
I call this one "Wrapped in love." Everything you see was hand picked or made by someone who loves this little guy so so much.
It cracks me up how much you love your toothbrush :) I second the rain, and the birds too (no baby yet and i'm still up at 3 AM!).i would have to say I also love smoothies. I have to have one almost everyday!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do love my toothbrush. I tell Chris every night that it's the best invention in the whole wide world:) I remember when I stopped sleeping all the way through the night when I was pregnant. Funny how our bodies get ready to be up at night even before they have to be. I love smoothies too! I especially love green ones cause they have so many wonderful things in them.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures!! Cute baby sack!
