Awesome Day!!

Today was wonderful. It started out a little shaky because there was another chest x-ray done which showed air still around the lung. So they took him off of feedings again and used the IV until they could do another x-ray. The x-ray showed that the air was the same - no more and no less so they took the chest tubes out!!!!! Grandma got to hold him for the first time since he was born. Then I took over and didn't put him down for at least an hour or so. He is able to eat again and he sucked down mama's milk from a bottle again like he was a pro. Then we got the okay for him to start nursing. It was a little rough for about a minute or two because both of us had no idea what to do, but with some help from Grandma he latched on like a natural. He tuckered out pretty quick so we gave him the rest in a bottle and he kept it all down. We are making progress and it is so good to hold him in my arms again.
