Well, in a two month time period James has only gained a couple of ounces. Kind of a scary thing for this mama. I have tried everything I could possibly think of trying, but he still spits up and doesn't sleep enough. So we are giving him some medicine for acid reflux to see if that helps him keep his food down and absorb more calories into his little body. He also cries when he eats sometimes or just doesn't feel like eating. It's hard to know that he's in pain and not be able to do much about it. I think I cry every time he does because it is so hard to see my favorite little boy hurting. As hard as this phase in our lives is right now I do know that everything will work out. Despite him not packing on the pounds he is still my happy little boy who gives me lots of smiles and is even starting to laugh a little. And he's learned how to roll over!!! He scoots his little legs up under him and smashes his face against the ground and somehow rolls over. It's adorable. He also loves playing with hands. We try to give him a toy and he grabs our hands instead. I just know that he will be sitting on his own in no time too. He likes to be up so he can take in the world around him. His new discovery has been his feet. He loves grabbing them and playing with them. Yes, despite his tummy hurting and his mom crying almost every day, he is still my happy baby and is bright-eyed and ready to learn.
Lucky me who gets to kiss this little face and stare into those eyes every single day.
My little water baby!
Told you he loves those feet!
Working on rolling over
