The Ants Go Marching....

Too many by too many. I used to like ants. I don't anymore. I do, however, love my super clean home I have to try and combat those little creatures. I have been trying really hard to learn what I need to learn from this little ant trial so that they will go away and I can learn something else. I have also been working on seeing the positive side of the whole creepy thing. Behind my fridge and stove are now sparkly clean. I actually sleep better at night knowing that. Weird I know. But hopefully someone out there understands the glorious feeling that is. James likes the ants too. He thinks they're fun. When he's quiet it's usually because he's picked up an ant and is letting it crawl up his arm. Gross, but at least it's not a spider. That's what I tell myself so that I don't totally freak out. I think the ant bait is doing it's job because I've seen fewer and fewer ants. Our house smells like a candy cane too. Sort of throws off the whole fall season, but the ants hate peppermint. If you're ever bored, dip your hand in some peppermint oil/water and draw a circle around an ant. And then laugh like this...Muhahahahah! It sort of makes the fact that there are ants crawling all over your floor a little less yucky. I have been truly amazed by these little insects. I do not like them in my home, but they have a pretty good work ethic and they've taught me a few habits to help me keep a cleaner house. Oh the joys of bugs :)

Anyways, the little boys are adorable as usual. We introduced James to Nutella and now instead of asking for milk in the morning he says, "mom, may I have some Nutella on a poon (spoon)?" I'm afraid he learned that from me.  Why have all the extra calories from the bread if you can just eat the Nutella plain? Seth is such a happy kid. Chris mentioned the other day that he never understood why all the cartoons pictured happy, smiling babies, and then he met Seth and understood. He is such a joy to our little family and James loves it when Seth laughs.

Just chillin' at Aquatica.

I'll try anything to get this kid to eat. His favorite lately is to make 'samples' just like costco. I put his lunch in dixie cups to get him to eat. He LOVES going to Costco solely for the samples.

He was reading one of my books like a grown up. I especially love his little crossed legs.

I was just trying to put a batch of clothes in the washer....

I had to rinse those jammies several times before I could throw them in the washer.

If you can't beat 'em...join 'em.

Every morning James has to see Seth :)

I still don't know how James manages to climb into Seth's bed without squishing the baby but he does and they both love it.

Monkey sandwiches...with Nutella.

While James played in the rain Seth sat in a chair in the garage.

Playing in the rain. The shoes kept falling off so he ditched them.

Was that for real??

James' first selfie.

Another laundry pic to add to the collection. I may have bribed James with a spoonful of Nutella to take this picture, or maybe a show, but I've been trying for weeks to get him to do this and then he smiles like that so it made it all worth it :)
