I don't know about you other mamas of toddlers out there, but it is sometimes frustrating trying to get a kid to eat. I make all of this fabulous, healthy (maybe that's my problem :) food that I think James will LOVE and he spits it right out and says, "all done." Sometimes it's hard not to be offended when he shows such and open display of disgust. Tonight, however, my darling boy made up for all those times. He ate his vegetables....and he LIKED them!!!! All he needed was a little ranch to dip them in and away he went. Crunching and munching like a champ. I couldn't get cucumbers chunks on his plate fast enough. I had mashed up some cauliflower to 'disguise' the vegetableness of it, so I mixed that with the ranch for him to dip his veggies in. I knew that me putting veggies on his plate every night had to pay off one day. Tomorrow he might go back to eating like a toddler, but today I will revel in my victory and the glory of feeling like a rockstar mom because my child ate nutritious food and plenty of it. After all, it's the little moments like this that keep me going.
Who needs real toys?
This is the house that dad built.
