4 Things for October 4th

1. James and I have a little saying. I say "I Love...." and he says, "youuuuuuuuuuu," then I say, "yes I ....." and he says, "doooooo." Both in a very high pitched, adorable voice. Chris thinks we are funny, but it melts my heart every. single. time.

2. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." This is my new motto for today. I wasn't as kind as I could have been recently and I feel awful about it. The important thing is that I got to learn another lesson to help me be a little better.

3. Flax seed is my new favorite thing. It makes my green smoothies almost creamy and I can use it as an egg substitute in baking. Besides all the good things about flax seed, I think that the best thing about it by far is that I can now eat raw cookie dough without the fear of getting a disease from raw eggs :)

4. There is beauty all around. The other morning I awoke to the sound of blinds being opened and immediately put on my grumpy face, until I opened my eyes and saw that the sky was GORGEOUS!! Our bedroom faces the rising sun and I get pretty grumpy when Chris opens the blinds when he wakes up (because I don't wake up until James is awake), but that sunrise was worth waking up for. I was reminded again that there is a God and He loves me. I am learning that everywhere I live has a different type of beauty. I miss my mountains in Idaho. I miss the vibrant colors on the trees in Connecticut. I am LOVING the skies in Florida.

Our Connecticut street.

My mountains.

I'm telling you, Florida definitely knows how to do skies.
