India

If someone had asked me where I would want to go if I could go anywhere my answer would have been England or Australia not India.....but since that is where we are headed I couldn't be more excited and...well terrified I guess! James gets to spend some quality time with grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins while his parents get to have a wild adventure. Chris is going to meet the people he talks to everyday and learn some new skills, and I am joining him so we can go see the culture. I am hoping we get to ride and elephant and we of course are going to see the Taj Mahal. I even get to fly all the way around the world in the process :) It will be HARD to leave my favorite little man for that long, but I know he'll be in good hands and that all will be well. I would rather not have him exposed to the different germs and diseases in India. I think I might even more excited to take him home and be with family than I am to fly to India and back. It will do my heart good to see him interacting with the people I love so much. I am nervous to fly with him alone and any advice on what to do about the whole process would be greatly appreciated.

He loves "playing" the piano.

And is the only kid I will let near my piano.

Any guesses why?

We recently got James a little monkey friend (aka leash). He loves wearing his little monkey but doesn't like the leash part so much. I don't blame him though. And I hate calling it a leash. I told myself I would NEVER have one for my kids...but then I again I also thought that my kids' high chair would always be clean for the next use. Ha!!!! The things we think before we have kids. Anyways, not sure how I feel about this whole leash thing, but the kid loves to explore and walk around and sometimes it would be nice to know that he can't wander too far or that more importantly he can't be nabbed by a crazy person when I turn my head for a second without me knowing. I'm probably crazy....and perhaps a little too paranoid at times, but I wasn't the first person to think of this so I know that other moms out there think the same way I do :)

He recently discovered pine cones.

And that he loves dirt.

Why pull the toys out of the box when he can just climb in with them.

This is his new favorite spot to be. Cracks me up :)
