I would say that my least favorite and most favorite part of being a mom involves food. My least favorite because I never know what to feed all these men in my life. And my most favorite because I love teaching them how to prepare it. I guess that's life. Filled with favorites and not-so-favorites. Perhaps one day they'll cook for me AND clean up the mess they made in the process. Ha! For now, I should just post a sign in my kitchen saying, "it was clean 10 minutes ago. sorry you missed it." Except for the floor. Mopping is my least favorite chore. It only stays clean longer than 10 minutes if the kids are asleep for the night. As I'm sure every mom can relate. Who puts plain white tile in a kitchen anyways!?!? I guess I'd rather have a filthy kitchen floor any day over a clean one if it means I have little people running around here. Goodness I love them so!
I was chopping something and heard "white head. Weeeeeeee." I turned around and saw this cute baby. I just burst out laughing.
Fleeing the scene of the crime.
I think it's safe to say this kid is definitely Chris' son. Love that face. Obviously.
He made "pudding" all by himself. I think it had flour, sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder, green food coloring, and milk. It actually tasted pretty good, because of course I tried it. He taught his brothers how to make it and they even made all their neighbor friends try it. Haha!
In case you ever wondered what it was like living with this handsome little man...it's pretty much like watching this....all the time. Love it!!
The only kid I could get to shuck the corn..and he did a fabulous job. Did every ear himself, and had fun doing it.
He also had a fabulous time testing out the corn before I could even get it cooked. Every time I turned around I saw another bite mark. Matty loves corn. I'm pretty sure the other boys will eat corn now too because they see how much this boy loves it.
Learn to cook Wednesday has extended to friends. It happened to be pizza night and well, the opportunity to play with dough was too great to pass up I guess. Her older sister came to get her to go home for dinner and then asked her mom if she could eat at my house. Because. Pizza. The sister cleaned my table, swept my floor and even set the table. What a treat that was for me. I'm so grateful her mom let them stay.
