Time Flies

Some days I wish that time would speed up so that I could just got to bed and get the sleep I desperately need and other times I want it to slow down because my little boys are so adorable. They challenge, love, and teach me so many things. I often wonder who is really teaching who. We moved from an apartment to a house and IT. IS. GLORIOUS being in a house with no stairs. No more hauling/coaxing/commanding/begging three kids up the stairs (sometimes two at once). No more groceries piled at the bottom and looking up in dismay. No more wishing the kids could just go play in the backyard. And no more spending nap time in my van because they are all asleep and I'd rather burn gas than wake them up to go upstairs. No siree. I can send them outside into the fenced backyard, make them haul the groceries the few steps into the kitchen, carry them one by one into their beds, and they can walk to the van and get in their seats ALL. BY. THEMSELVES! Well, I still have to carry the baby, but his cuteness more than makes up for it. Have I mentioned that I don't miss the stairs?? Like at all? I am so glad to have lived in a top floor apartment for so long though. I will always cherish those memories because they will always and forever make me appreciate the little things in life. But seriously, watching my boys run in the backyard and come in filthy dirty is a dream. I don't even mind the sand because I'm pretty sure good old fashioned dirt doesn't exist in Florida so sand it is :)
