We blessed Seth on August 10th. Blessing days are bittersweet days for me. I try really hard to not think about how far away family is and usually fail miserably...but this time Chris' mom got to be here to combat the homesickness. She stayed with me while Chris was in India for a week. I can't write about the week she stayed with me because I think I will just cry. It was such a blessing to have her here and I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a wonderful mother in law!!
I tried so hard to make sure Seth was fed and changed and had his pacifier (and was late getting to church int he process)...and he still cried through half of his blessing. Oh well, I guess the important thing is that he was blessed :) He sure was cute in his little tux. It was the same one that James wore, minus the middle part because I didn't have time to safety pin it to fit around his tiny belly. I thought it would be fun to see pictures of both boys because everyone who looks at Seth says, "wow, he looks exactly like James." The other thing we always here is, "yep, he looks like his daddy," which I love because I happen to think his daddy is a pretty handsome guy :) James was a little older when he was blessed, but they are probably about the same weight-wise.
