Coupons Coupons Coupons!!!!!

I do believe I have a new favorite thing....Coupons!!! There is just something about watching the total when you checkout shrink as the coupons are scanned. It gets even better when you walk out of the store without spending a dime because you had coupons. You know that person you happen to get behind at the grocery store when you are in a hurry and realize that they are one of those people who take FOREVER because they have a coupon for everything and you feel like they haggle over pennies and you dislike them even more because their huge cart full of groceries costs the same as your tiny little basket with a few items in it...well, I confess that I may have been one of those people today. I just want to apologize to the people behind me at CVS today whoever they were, but I did walk out with a free product!!! I didn't mean to be a haggler (I only asked a few simple, innocent questions) and hold up the whole line. I was just supposed to walk in to the store, scan my little coupons, and walk out with a free product, but something that I thought was ridiculously on sale...like 75% off on sale...caught my eye so I wanted to see how much it was. It ended up being only 50% on sale and way more than I wanted to spend so I didn't get it. I had been confused at the advertising in the store so the sweet lady at the register had to walk all the way to the back of the store just to make sure for me. Then she came back, and put my stuff in a bag, handed me my receipt that said.....this is the best part.....0.00 spent and said to have a nice day. She really was a nice lady and I didn't mean to be a pain, but a girl's got to learn somehow how to get this couponing thing down. Right? Anyways, I am on my way to getting groceries for half of what I used to get them for. I am hoping that in another month or two I will have a system down so I won't have to spend so much time figuring out which sales to hit. I really just need to set up a menu plan and that would save lots of money. I am pretty good at making a list and sticking to it in the store. Actually if I go to the store without a list I usually walk out with nothing because I can't think of what we would need and I don't want to spend too much money. Kind of funny really, but I suppose it's better than overspending too often. I also want to figure out this whole coupon thing because I want to be able to donate to the food bank and if I get stuff for pennies or for free that means I can donate even more than a can or two here and there. I am all for saving money and giving more :)
