Moments that Matter Most

This little cutie was wearing out our couch cushions so we got him a trampoline. $30 well spent, a happier couch, and most importantly a happier mom. 

James was looking for his cars all morning. No wonder he couldn't find them. Guess he'd put them there the night before. Haha!

Because sometimes a kid's got to take matters into his own hands. He grabbed the mango off the counter and helped himself. 

Thank goodness for daddy to take us to Sea World. 

Comforting the one who'd bumped his head while brushing the other one's teeth. Not a moment to lose. 

They spilled the sugar...and then licked it off the floor. At least they cleaned it up???

James had been asking to play with "dirt" all day but I kept putting him off because it wasn't a good day to pull out the dried beans we use for 'dirt.' Guess he was tired of being told no and took matters into his own hands. So much for thinking they were quietly playing in their room while I made dinner. Took them 1 1/2 hours to clean up. They didn't get to eat until it was clean and by then the food was cold. They didn't dare try to get out of bed after I tucked them in. I will laugh about this one day. Perhaps when I am no longer vacuuming up random piles of oatmeal that spill out of a toy car. I sure do love these little messmakers though. I'll take buckets of oatmeal dumped out if it means I get to keep getting hugs and kisses from these two.

Because sometimes you just need to go get ice cream at Chick Fil A so you can play in their play place inside, away from the heat and out of the house.

These are the moments that matter most. The moments when you put them in your heart so you can always remember them. The moments that make spilled oatmeal and a sugared floor seem not so bad.

Took the boys to a park today. Totally worth all the effort of getting out the door and down the stairs. James made a new friend today. I'm so glad he did. James, I just want you to know that you bring so much joy to everyone around you. I hope you know how much you are loved.
