It feels like Matthew has just always been a part of our family. Like he's always been here. I suppose in a way he has. I never thought so much love could fit into my heart. The days are long but the years are short. I LOVE MY BOYS!!!! They show me my weaknesses as a mom and they love me in spite of them. The nursing thing is getting better. Some days are better than others and when baby is tired he has a horrible latch, but I don't want to cry every time he eats so I call that success!! I have learned a lot about myself these past 5 weeks. 'I can do hard things' is one of those things, but more importantly, I can let people help me. I don't have to do everything all on my own. That has been a hard thing to learn. Of course we aren't supposed to be able to do everything on our own...but we all know we want to sometimes. And people are so good. My weaknesses have been made strong through the service of angels here on earth. I'm positive we would be living off of cold cereal if it weren't for loving people to share with us. I'm so grateful that babies usually come one at a time and that they are all different.
Haha! In case you were wondering what a typical day was like. One is covering his ears, one is mad mad mad, and the other is just happy to smile for the camera.
This sums up Matthew's personality thus far.
Helping his little brother up the play place to give dad a break.
These two have turned into good buddies. Fighting, laughing, wrestling, playing, etc.... For the most part they get along pretty well and it's so fun to watch. I was terrified to have three kids. Silly, I know, but everyone kept telling me that three was the hardest. So far they were right, but not in the ways that I was dreading. I am so grateful for these two cuties. They terrorize our house and I wouldn't have it any other way.
These two. We were playing a game together and I had to tell them to put their phones away. Haha!
Went to the temple with the primary and daddy. As you can see he was deeply interested in what the lady giving the tour was saying....
Cute little man!
Best mother's day every. Chris got them to make this with their hands and feet. An ambitious project that not even I, who loves hand/foot print art, would have undertaken. The best part was listening to it all taking place in the other room :)
