One Day at a Time

I have decided to take life one day at a time. The little man has been a little under the weather lately and I think he's teething yet again. Pretty sure he had croup and I didn't even know it. It didn't last more than 3 or 4 nights though. I just kept giving him elderberry gummy vitamins (he LOVES them), umcka (which didn't really help this time), and rubbed OnGuard essential oil on his little feet. He would wake up in the middle of the night coughing like crazy. I also figured out that putting vick's vapor rub on the bottoms of his feet and then socks helped soothe the coughing. He's all done coughing but he's not back to 100% yet. I'm just grateful it wasn't worse. I am also experimenting with different foods in order to get him to eat more. He used to eat everything, but now he chews it and then spits it out or flat refuses to eat. Grrrrr. Sure glad Heavenly Father created sweet potatoes though because he will always eat those. I'm hoping it's just a toddler thing and he will get his little appetite back. Like I said...One day at a time :)

This is how he looks when I try to feed him something new.

Mostly, I let him feed himself. He's a little independent most of the time sometimes :)

Playing peek-a-boo with daddy. It was actually cold enough in our apartment on Thanksgiving morning that we all got to wear sweats without overheating.

Cushion tent. This kid loves to take the cushions off the couch.

We decided to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving (which was marvelous).

We were hopeful that maybe, just maybe this little man wouldn't help too much.

but he did as predicted and took them off as soon as we had put them all on.

So now we have a half decorated tree and I'm sure that if he could figure out a way to get all the ornaments off... the tree would be bare.

At least the bulbs are shatterproof :)

Chris and I got to go on a real date the day after Thanksgiving. It was AMAZING. We went to watch Thor and walked around Universal's City Walk afterwards. All the babysitter had to do was sit on our couch because James was already in bed when we left. Definitely a good idea :)
